32 DAYS TO GO

HEADER

IT IS A GLORIOUS FACT:  HE CAME

LET US CONNECT WITH THE PURPOSE OF HIS COMING

1.   HE CAME TO PROCLAIM PEACE

Ephesians 2:17

He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.

2.   HE CAME AS HIGH PRIEST OF GOOD THINGS

Hebrews 9:11-12
But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here, he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation. He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus OBTAINING ETERNAL REDEMPTION.

3.   HE CAME TO BE THE SACRIFICIAL LAMB – THE COVENANT SACRIFICE

Hebrews 10:5
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:
“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;

 4.   HE CAME TO PLEASE THE FATHER

2 Peter 1:17
He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

5.   HE CAME TO RESCUE THE PERISHING

Luke 19:10
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

6.   HE CAME TO IMPART HIGH QUALITY LIFE

John 10:10B
I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10B
I came that they may HAVE and ENJOY life, and have it in abundance (to the full, TILL IT OVERFLOWS).

7.   HE CAME TO HARVEST WHAT RIGHTFULLY BELONGS TO THE FATHER.

Mark 12:1-7
AND [Jesus] started to speak to them in parables [with comparisons and illustrations]. A man PLANTED A VINE YARD and put a hedge around it and dug a pit for the wine-press and built a tower and let it out [for rent] to vine-dressers and went into another country. WHEN SEASON CAME,  he sent a bond servant to the tenants to collect from them some of the fruit of the vineyard.  But they took him and beat him and sent him away without anything. Again he sent to them another bond servant, and they stoned him and wounded him in the head and treated him shamefully [sending him away with insults]. And he sent another, and that one they killed; then many others—some they beat, and some they put to death.  He had still one left [to send], a BELOVED SON; last of all he sent him to them, SAYING, THEY WILL RESPECT MY SON. But those tenants said to one another, Here is the heir; come on, let us put him to death, and [then] the inheritance will be ours.
