JESUS OUR DOOR INTO A GLORIOUS INHERITANCE
Isaac mirrors the life of our Savior in a number of ways, He is the only begotten of the Old Testament, He has a bride according to the Father’s specification, And miraculously, after the birth of Isaac, Abraham’s body that was once said to be as good as dead, continued to function at such a vigorous pace, the old man could not help but marry Ketura after the death of Sarah and six more sons were born. Although they were his, the promise would come through Isaac in order to fulfill the Word of the LORD. So, he released them with gifts, I guess so they would not worry Isaac the heir of all things
Abraham left EVERYTHING HE OWNED TO ISAAC. But while he was still living, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from his son Isaac to the land of the east.
Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God;
The wonder of it all is that everyone who acknowledges Jesus becomes a joint heir with the heir of all things.
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and CO-HEIRS WITH CHRIST, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Jesus paid the price so that we may be included in an amazing deal.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10
However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him — these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
AND WHAT IS THE INHERITANCE OF OUR SAVIOR?
JESUS, HEIR OF ALL THINGS
but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
THROUGH HIM OUR INHERITANCE IS SECURE
1 Peter 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,
1. Celebrate Jesus in HIS place as heir of All things
2. Give thanks that he remembered us in our low estate and made us co-heirs by HIS Blood
3. Appreciate the inner witness of the Spirit who testifies deep within that you are an heir
4. Pray that none of your loved ones is ever found to have fallen short of this honor
Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.
