25 DAYS TO GO

HEADERJESUS CARES IN TIMES OF LONELINESS

1. LONELINESS IS A DANGER

Genesis 34:1-2
“Now Dinah, the daughter Leah had borne to Jacob, went out to visit the women of the land. When Shechem son of Hamor the Hivite, the ruler of that area, saw her, he took her and raped her.”

2. LONELINESS IS NO SIGN OF BEING EVIL OR SINFUL

The girl was just reaching out. All her siblings were males, the twelve sons of Jacob. We are all born with a need to relate to others like us. Boys enjoy each other’s company, so do girls. May GOD help our children at school and in the communities where we live, that they may not be ensnared by a simple natural desire – to relate to those of their gender and age. Dinah wasn’t going out to lure men. She wasn’t out on mischief,
All her siblings were out in the field. This was just a simple desire to relate with other girls, and tragedy struck. Many sermons have been crafted to warn the girl child from going out with unregenerate companies, and rightfully so. But what does a child do in a far away place like a higher institution of learning. In trying to find herself acquaintances – disaster may be looming. The LORD save our children!

3. LONELINESS DOES HAVE BIBLICAL SEDATIVES

3.1. CHOOSE WISELY IN FRIENDSHIPS

Proverbs 13:20
“Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.”

3.2. WALK CAUTIOUSLY AS YOU BUILD TIES WITH NEW ACQUAINTANCES

1 Corinthians 15:33-34a
“Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” Come back to your senses as you ought.”

3.3. AVOID PEOPLE WHO ARE ALWAYS ANGRY AT AUTHORITIES / MANAGEMENT

Proverbs 22:24
“Make no friendship with an angry man, and with a furious man do not go,”

As long as we live there will be anomalies that must be confronted and corrected in any institution or organization because people are born sinners and we are all basically on a recovery journey since the Fall. Engaging with the view to facilitate change for the better is a noble pursuit – but there are gangrenous individuals in every establishment who have issues with authority and are angry from whence they came. Avoid them dear!

Although the world is evil; Jesus cares. Even though parents may be far removed from their children. Jesus is always near. Although some may have already been ensnared, Jesus has the power to save. His redeeming love reaches out even now, His matchless Grace is stronger than the rushing torrents of evil and is Mighty to save! Parents pray for your children. Children, be wise, yield not to the eerie sounds of loneliness.

Titus 2:11-14
“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “NO” TO UNGODLINESS AND WORLDLY PASSIONS and to LIVE SELF-CONTROLLED, UPRIGHT, AND GODLY LIVES IN THIS PRESENT AGE, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.”

PRAYER POINTS:

1. PRAY THAT THE LORD KEEP OUR GIRL CHILDREN FROM SHECHEMS

2. PRAY THEY MAY BE PROTECTED FROM SOUL CONSUMING LONELINESS

3. PRAY THAT THE LORD GRANT OUR CHILDREN WISDOM – TO KNOW WHOM TO ASSOCIATE WITH. –
remember, when they first arrive in these institutions all children / at least most children look normal

4. PRAY FOR THE BOY CHILD TO BE PROTECTED AND DELIVERED FORM ANGER
for it always breeds malice! In this life there will always be something to boil about, it’s an evil world – it is basically and generally out of order – it takes wisdom to know what battles to fight and which to ignore.

Ephesians 4:31
“Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice.”
