HOW TO MAINTAIN THE BLESSING AND MOMENTUM

HOW TO MAINTAIN THE BLESSING AND MOMENTUM

HOW TO MAINTAIN THE BLESSING AND MOMENTUM

The days of prayer have been a great courage builder, spirit, soul and body there has been a positive alignment and sharpening of our ‘antennas.’   This elevated position that comes at a high cost of self denial,  like hard earned currency it deserves to be protected and preserved for our continued advantage.

Here are some thoughts on how to continue operating from the mountain top experience.   Sure ways to preserve and maintain the Blessings

1    TREASURE YOUR MENTAL SPACE AND YOU WILL PRESERVE SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY AND  POWER

Psalms 1:1-3
Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.

While it is true that we may not always be able to keep mind contaminators away from us at all times since we live, study, work and interact with a continually deteriorating world,  we are nevertheless Not helpless!
It seems evil frontiers are daily pushing hard to get our attention and course  despair to anyone who is determined to live honorably.

The good news is;  though the ungodly often sound very convincing, we don’t have to follow their advise.    God’s Word is in you!   His Spirit will guide you!   When wicked people try to influence you to do wrong against
Your spouse
Your employer
Your parent
Your leader

You will sense a discomfort in your inner being.   Don’t ignore it!  It is the leading of the Lord.   Stop, ask yourself questions like:
Will this advise be honoring to GOD?
Will this help to build OR will it demolish my hard earned relationship(s)?
Will the results bring joy in the long run or will my ‘pleasure’ be short lived ( as when driven by a desire to hurt someone in revenge?)

2.   REMEMBER:    WISDOM FOLLOWS ASSOCIATIONS

Proverbs 13:20
Walk with the wise and become wise,
for a companion of fools suffers harm.

So,  let not the enemy of your progress harm you by flooding your mental space with polluters such as vulgar, dirty jokes, and the like

Some people just don’t do spiritual hygiene!   Anything that comes to mind they spit out and still believe they are ‘cool.’  They have no sifters!   They’ve not developed  a fail proof standard to test their ‘counsel’.   They suffer from what we call  logorrhea  ( it’s a form of verbal diarr….)

3   DEVELOP THE HABBIT OF SPEAKING  GOOD WORDS ON PURPOSE …. IT PAYS!

Ephesians 4:29
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

4.   REMEMBER:   INTERVIEWS AND CONTRACTS FOLLOW WORDS

Proverbs 18:20
A man’s stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth;
From the produce of his lips he shall be filled.

5.   INSPIRATION IS OFTEN HIDDEN IN WORDS.

John 6:63c
The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

And inspiration can be the differences between achievers and non achievers.
E.g.  Not everyone who studies business succeeds in business,   By the sheer numbers of people who’ve graduated at some higher institution of learning,  the number of businesses should have been much bigger.   But many have preferred to be in the ‘safety’ of sheltered employment rather than stand up to business demands.   It takes a lot of regular inspiration to start and stay in business!

6.   NEVER SHY AWAY FROM HARD WORK – IT PAYS

Proverbs 14:23
All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty.

Remember;  “whatever he does prospers”

VICTORY IS IN THE DOING!

Some high sounding talkers have said ” don’t work hard, work smart”.  Initially it sounds  good but it is actually far from good.   Where there is vision, desire and passion, hard work will not be absent!   From sports to ministry, from business to politics. For uncommon achievers, hard work is not a swear word.  It is actually celebrated.

7.   Deliberately keep a ‘happy mind space’

Psalms 1:2
but whose DELIGHT  is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.

Psalms 37:4
DELIGHT yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Philippians 4:4 AMP
Rejoice in the Lord always [DELIGHT, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice!

Israel fell into untold trouble for failing to keep a happy attitude towards their GOD and His Law

Deuteronomy 28:47-48
Because you did not serve the Lord your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the Lord sends against you. He will put an iron yoke on your neck until he has destroyed you.

NB.    NEVER ALLOW YOUR MIND TO DETERIORATE TO A POINT WHERE YOU FAIL TO SEE THE JOY EMBEDDED  IN SERVING THE LORD!

One of the true benefits of a fast is when you see activity around GOD as a delight

Israelites had long failed to see their sabbath as a rest day given by GOD out of love and care!  They saw it as an inconvenience to their businesses because city gates would be shut and their merchandise would have to wait for twenty four hours.
They would be scathing in their talk against the sabbath. And all this time GOD would be listening with pain at their ingratitude stemming from a refusal to acknowledge that the Law was given in love!

True repentance would then require a change of heart and perspective!   They were expected to ‘see’ their rest time as an advantage and not as some ‘necessary inconvenienced’

Isaiah 58:13
“If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath
and from doing as you please on my holy day,
if you call the Sabbath a DELIGHT
and the Lord’s holy day honorable,
and if you honor it by not going your own way
and not doing as you please or speaking idle words,
